The Braidbar Owners Group
The Braidbar Owners Group exists for owners and prospective owners of Braidbar boats to exchange ideas, share tips about using Braidbar boats and arrange informal social contacts. It was set up in 2005 by Bruce and Sheila Napier not long after they took delivery of their first Braidbar Boat, Sanity.
It has grown steadily over the years, with many Braidbar customers choosing to join before even ordering a boat. From the handful who attended a first informal meeting at Crick it has grown over the years to over 100 members. Of these, several attend Crick Show every year to assist with manning the stand, guiding through the show boat and taking serious enquirers around their own boats.
The Braidbar Open Day and Owners Weekend each September sees many owners join in a combined sales and social event. Running from Friday evening to Sunday lunchtime, this is a chance to catch up on the events of the year. Potential customers are welcome during the day on Saturday.
Apart from these two set piece events, members of the Group are happy to act as ambassadors for their builder as they cruise their beautiful boats about the inland waterways of Britain.
The Owners' Group is entirely independent of Braidbar Boats Ltd and receives no subsidy from that company or its proprietors. Nonetheless, the Group's social events are usually run in conjunction with the company and it enjoys cordial relations with James and Donna.
If you own, used to own or are thinking of buying a Braidbar, we'd be happy to hear from you. To join the group, please send an email to .
